The word tradition includes food, music, games, dance, attire language, greetings and other related matters. It is very important for people to know and learn the role of each element of traditions. As human being move around the world it helps to know what type of food a particular nationality eat as their staple diet. When it happens you found yourself in that country needs to know what to expect. These also include their language, as the form of communication. South Africa has more than eleven languages and cultures. Some of these languages include Afrikaans found around all the provinces. Languages mostly spoken in Limpopo, are Xitsonga, TshiVenda and Sepedi.

In Gauteng nearly all the languages are spoken. While in Kwazulu Natal the most spoken language is IsiZulu. In Northern Cape the most spoken language isAfrikaans as there many colored people. In Eastern Cape is mostly IsiXhosa, Western Cape are Afrikaans, English and IsiXhosa. While in Free State most spoken language is Sesotho and Setswana in North West. In Mpumalanga there are Xitsonga, IsiSwati and IsiNdebele .

This makes it difficult for someone without knowing the cultures and traditions. How do you greet in Setswana ? What type of food they mostly prefer to eat base on their daily staple diet. Tradition play an important role as it defines and identify someone. In Natural and Social Justice one traditions need to be recognized and respected. If one practices her/his tradition it shows one is proud of own identity.

For visitors it helps to be exposed in order to avoid not to offend people at times unaware. Social dialogues and reading of relevant books for particular customs and traditions can play a major role. One finds it easy to communicate and interact with people in their own language and learn certain things. When it comes to getting marriage or friendship and business it plays a fundamental role. Tradition and customs are not easy to separate at times. Readers of this website are welcome to ask questions regarding certain things about certain cultural group.
